Ultimate Signature have confirmed that Greg Mansell will complete their World Series by Renault line-up.
The son of former world champion Nigel Mansell joins Spaniard Miguel Molina, who announced his Ultimate switch last week, at the squad, which will now run under the USR title.
Mansell had been strongly linked to the team since testing USR's Formula Renault 3.5 machine earlier in the winter. The move marks the 21-year-old's return to European racing after a season in the Atlantic series in the United States, where he took 10th in the championship last year. He had previously raced in Formula BMW and Formula 3 in Britain.
USR team boss Barry Walsh expects podium finishes from Mansell in his rookie season.
"He immediately impressed us with his speed and his technical feedback to the team," Walsh said.
"He raced against us in British F3 two years ago where he proved that he was certainly a chip off the old block. I'm sure, given the right opportunities, a Mansell will once again be standing on the podium at some of the world's greatest circuits before the end of the year."
